Are you tired of the stigma around muzzles? Do people make rude comments or assumptions about your muzzled dog or you as their guardian? Let’s change that narrative together.

I have partnered with Cainark Dog Training, who have kindly provided their secure field in Hampshire for this special project. This is a chance to showcase your incredible muzzled dog in a stunning photography book and be part of a movement that educates and inspires.

Muzzled and Misunderstood will feature beautiful portraits of muzzled dogs alongside love letters from their guardians, proving that muzzles are a responsible and compassionate choice, not something to be feared or judged.

“This lovely project brought to you by Diane Gollowitzer is nothing short of groundbreaking. With its stunning photography and thoughtful content, it celebrates the everyday heroes—the dogs and their guardians—who embrace muzzles as part of their training and management toolkit. I was lucky enough to preview some of the beautiful images, and they truly capture the dignity, care, and love behind the decision to use a muzzle.”

Briony, Neo's Mum (2023)

We had the most wonderful session with Diane. She was patient and understanding with our reactive dog Neo, who can be fearful of strangers and had a bite history. Diane booked a secure field, allowed Neo lots of space and time to adjust, and didn’t put any pressure on him to ‘perform’. The photographs are stunning and really capture Neo’s personality, which only shows through when he feels relaxed and happy. If you have a reactive, nervous or anxious dog, I cannot recommend Diane enough.

Hi, I'm Diane, your photographer

I'm a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CDTI), dog first aider, and professional photographer based in Winchester with my partner and our two pups, Dougal the Scottie and Deedee the Irish Terrier, who also wears a muzzle. My passion for muzzles stems from my personal experience with Deedee, and I’m dedicated to raising awareness of their importance.

I’m on a mission to create beautiful artwork of happy pups that you will treasure forever. I believe every dog is unique and requires a personalised approach.

Simply put — I love dogs
