As promised, I’m continuing my DogX journey by introducing you to some of the incredible vendors I met—just in time for your Christmas shopping! If you're looking for thoughtful, dog-friendly gifts that support ethical and force-free training practices, these recommendations are perfect for you and your pup this holiday season. And who knows—you might even snag a bargain if you read on!

First up, Tug-E-Nuff! If you want to take your dog’s playtime to the next level, this is the company for you. Their toys are designed to bring out even the most aloof dog’s prey drive. If your dog isn’t toy-motivated, try their rabbit fur range—it’s like magic! Deedee, however, needs no encouragement, so I grabbed the Pocket PowerBall Bungee Tug for her. As you can see from the picture below, she absolutely loved it! 🐾

Tug as if your life depends on it :D

Next, I stopped by Roverkit, who brought along their fantastic range of enrichment toys. From Lickimats to Toppls, they’ve got everything you need to keep your dog entertained and mentally stimulated. Naturally, I couldn’t resist adding another Toppl to my dogs' collection, along with some Toppl Stoppers to keep things interesting during mealtime.

And here’s a little treat for you: use my affiliate code 'dogsinfocus' at checkout to get 10% off your order. There’s no limit on how many times you can use it, so feel free to stock up on all your pup’s favourites!

I also discovered Adaptil, known for their calming products, which are perfect for helping your dog through stressful times like fireworks season. They’ve recently launched a new calming chew, and the good news is that they’re running a sale in preparation for the upcoming fireworks!

And last but not least, I met the lovely team from Butternut Box. Did you know they offer more than just their famous monthly food subscription? I had no idea! Turns out they also sell treats and chews, so naturally, I picked up a yak chew for Deedee. Let’s just say it was a big hit!

I also had the pleasure of meeting Debby from Kids Around Dogs (KAD). Her passion for helping families and schools create harmony between children and dogs is truly inspiring. She’s developed an accreditation program, so if you ever need expert guidance, you can easily find a KAD-accredited professional near you to help your child and pooch get along beautifully. Debby has also written a fantastic book called "It Started With A Sit: The book to help expectant and new parents of both kids and dogs", which is available on Amazon—a must-read for any growing family! The book is also featured in detail on Episode 68 of the Barks from the Bookshelf podcast—complete with plenty of insightful discussion and a dash of playful banter!

Having these vendors at DogX is such a huge plus because their ethos aligns with ours. They’re committed to supporting ethical, force-free training practices and truly care about the well-being of our dogs. As the holiday season approaches, make sure to support these fantastic companies instead of the usual supermarket brands. Not only are you getting quality products, but you’re also backing businesses that share our values of kindness and positive reinforcement.
